Answer first

IW329067 is an IWC reference number. A listing sold as "replica IW329067" is a copy of an IWC watch, not a Rolex. Seller listings place the 3290 block in the Ingenieur line: a steel sports watch with an integrated bracelet. IWC's own product page is the source to check first for case size, dial variants, and caliber. Dealer spec sheets disagree with each other on some IW329067 details.

What a copy gets right

  • Case diameter, often within 0.5 mm of the original
  • Bracelet taper and clasp shape
  • Dial color and applied hour markers
  • Overall silhouette in photos

What a copy gets wrong

  • Case thickness. Copies run 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm thicker.
  • Movement. Most copies use a Miyota 9015, a Seiko NH35, or a Chinese 8215 clone. IWC fits in-house calibers with long power reserves, some above 100 hours.
  • Finishing. Bracelet link edges are sharp and the brushing is uneven.
  • Weight. Copies run 10 g to 30 g off the genuine figure.
  • Dial print. The date window frame and the font weight are the common tells.

Price bands

Copies of IWC references list on China based sites from about $80 to $400. Price tracks the movement and the bracelet, not the dial. A $400 copy and a $120 copy often share the same case and dial.

How to read a listing

  1. Ask for case thickness in mm, measured with calipers.
  2. Ask for the movement name and beat rate.
  3. Ask for a photo of the caseback engraving.
  4. Ask for total weight with all links fitted.
  5. Ask for the clasp code and the crown engraving.

Legal position in the US

Counterfeit watches are illegal to import and to sell in the United States. 18 U.S.C. 2320 carries a maximum of 10 years for a first trafficking offense and 20 years for repeat offenses. CBP seizes counterfeit shipments and can issue civil penalties. Buying one copy for personal use is a civil risk. Selling copies is a criminal one.

Bottom line

Match the copy to the exact reference before you compare anything. Differences inside the 3290 block are small on paper and large on the wrist. Unknown: IWC does not publish a full archive of every variant, so some IW329067 specs come from dealers rather than the brand.
