- Movement: replicas use Asian 7750 variants or decorated clones. The genuine 3126/3840 has a different bridge layout and runs at 21,600 vph.
- Case finish: the genuine case has alternating brushed and polished bevels with sharp transitions. Replica bevels are softer and the polish marks are wider.
- Dial: the genuine tapisserie grid is stamped and raised. Replica grids sit lower and the print is flatter under a loupe.
- Weight: a steel 26470 on a bracelet sits near 150 to 170 g. Replicas run 20 to 40 g lighter because of thinner case walls.
- Water resistance: replica casebacks and gaskets are not pressure tested. Do not swim with one.
